Fancy Yet Easy
Yet another little decoration treat for the Holiday Mystery Gifts Yahoo! Group has made it's debut. Based upon the fabulously popular round dishcloth idea, this ornament is knit back and forth in garter stitch using yarn that has a golden glittery threat throughout to add sparkle.
My version here is knit with Plymouth 24K, sportweight yarn and size 3 needles. It is about 4" in diameter. These would be cute on packages too!
Of course, you can use whatever yarn you have on hand and adjust the needle size accordingly to make smaller ornaments. i would think that especially given the lousy economy now, pretty handmade ornaments would make a thoughtful and well-recieved gift.
Remember, all of these patterns on the Holiday Mystery gifts group will disappear after December 2008 so be sure to download yourself a pdf copy now.
